The Wim Hof Method

A strong mindset is an important trait of a successful person. To achieve your goals, a strong mindset is crucial. During these activities, you will be challenged to strengthen your mind. This journey offers an opportunity to identify areas for personal growth. Through this unique experience, you will approach life with new, powerful energy.

Cold exposure

The challenge of cold exposure during ice baths and waterfall meditation lies in finding peace within discomfort. The first phase is mental preparation and dedication that are made. In the second phase, you enter the cold water and your body experiences a shock that is regulated by deep breathing and focus. After 30 seconds to a minute, the shock gives way to calmness and relaxation. Many people experience euphoria due to the release of happiness hormones. The final phase is the mindful warming of the body through guided, gentle movements.


During a breathing session, you bring your body into a parasympathetic state, where the task-oriented part of the brain takes a back seat and there is more space for the emotional part. This deepens the connection with your body and breathing, strengthens your concentration, and calms your mind. This opens the possibility to gain new insights and experience deep relaxation.

Powerful experience

During the retreat, we will share insights on the Wim Hof method. Theoretical information and hands-on experiences will alternate. The breathwork and ice baths are powerful sessions where you will learn a lot about yourself. The retreat takes place in the middle of the Spanish nature, on the land of Kausay Community. You will sleep in a traditional Mongolian yurt and wake up to the sounds of nature.

Retreat program

After arrival and introduction, we start with our first breathing session. 

On Saturday, we kick off the day with yoga and a breathing session, followed by a delicious and nourishing breakfast. After an inspiring explanation on the workings of breath and ice, you will experience your first ice bath.In the evening, you can participate in a relaxing gong session. 

Early on Sunday, we will head to a stunning waterfall, take a silent walk, and meditate in the icy water. After breakfast, we will have a second ice bath and share further insights on the Wim Hof method. The retreat will end after lunch with a sharing circle.

“The retreat begins on Friday at 2:00 PM with a group lunch. There will be time to get to know each other and settle in. Around 4:00 PM, we will gather in the meditation yurt for an explanation of the retreat. On Sunday at 4:00 PM, we will conclude the retreat with a sharing session.

On Sunday evening, a new retreat begins, which is a wonderful addition to this weekend. Over 4 days, we will hike through wild nature to the beautiful nature reserve at Rio Fraile. We will sleep in tents and bathe in cold natural water.

The cost for participation in this retreat is €400. In return, you will receive a super inspiring and boundary-pushing experience, a full program, delicious healthy meals, accommodations, and pick-up from Xativa train station.

Travel info

We will arrange a free pick-up at Xativa train station at 1:00 pm. The closest airports are Valencia and Alicante. From there, you can take public transportation to the city of Xativa, which takes approximately 2 hours from Valencia and 3 hours from Alicante. Once you sign up, you will receive a clear travel description. If you are arriving by car, we will send you a directions. For an additional cost, we can arrange a taxi from the airport for you.

After registration, you will receive a confirmation and more practical information about what to bring and how to travel to the pickup location.
